Parent Information Night - Twitter 101
As a parent, would you like a keener awareness of your child's social media? Interested in seeing how your child portrays him/herself on Twitter? Please join Principal Brian McCann at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8 as he hosts a Twitter 101 opportunity for our Case families. You can sign up for an account here. We will highlight some of Twitter's functions, model how to Tweet, and finally how to view your child's digital footprint. Pre-registration is limited to 21 families. RSVP with Pauline Simmons at psimmons@swanseaschools.org by April 7. Don't be left behind -- become a connected parent.
Kindergarten Registration
REGISTRATION FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2015-2016
Swansea Public Schools announces Kindergarten Registration for children who will be five on or before August 31, 2015 OR for NEW 1st grade students who are not enrolled. A child must be 6 by the same date to be eligible for 1st grade. Please call as soon as possible to register a new student.

Swansea School Committee policy requires all registrants to provide proof of residency as noted in registration paperwork.  All necessary paperwork must be received prior to admittance. Any unfulfilled requirements may delay the registration of your child.

Please call 508-679-4049 or 508-675-7899 to register your child or if you have any questions.

International Student Hosting Opportunity
As part of the school district’s effort to expand its global education program, we have partnered with the Cambridge Institute of International Education to bring up to five international students to Joseph Case High School for the 2015-2016 academic year!

As part of this initiative, gphomestay, a sister company of the Cambridge Institute of International Education, is offering an incredible opportunity to families in Swansea.  If you are interested in making a positive impact on the life of an international student, consider becoming a host family!

Host families will be given a substantial stipend for providing students with meals, a private room, and for welcoming the students into their homes. 24/7 support will be provided from residential coordinators to help coordinate meeting your student upon arrival, keeping you connected with the school community, and mediating issues if they arise. Families of all types, ethnicities, backgrounds and sizes are welcome.

To learn more about becoming a host family, please contact info@gphomestay.com (781-996-0429) or fill out an online application: http://www.gphomestay.com/Application.html.

Exploration Learning Festival
Hoyle Families are invited to the Exploration Learning Festival on April 13, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Wheaton College. The event is going to be filled with science based, hands on, activities for families with children from 6-12 years old and it is free and open to the public. Exploration (more fondly known as “Explo”), is a not-for profit summer enrichment program with sessions running at Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Yale University (www.explo.org). We are inviting local politicians and the media to come join us and support our celebration of curiosity, inquiry, and fun!

Here are a couple of cute, creative, and healthy snack ideas that
