Swansea Public Schools announces Kindergarten Registration for children who will be five on or before August 31, 2015 OR for NEW 1st grade students who are not enrolled. A child must be 6 by the same date to be eligible for 1st grade. Please call as soon as possible to register a new student.
Swansea School Committee policy requires all registrants to provide proof of residency as noted in registration paperwork. All necessary paperwork must be received prior to admittance. Any unfulfilled requirements may delay the registration of your child.
Please call 508-679-4049 or 508-675-7899 to register your child or if you have any questions.
As part of this initiative, gphomestay, a sister company of the Cambridge Institute of International Education, is offering an incredible opportunity to families in Swansea. If you are interested in making a positive impact on the life of an international student, consider becoming a host family!
Host families will be given a substantial stipend for providing students with meals, a private room, and for welcoming the students into their homes. 24/7 support will be provided from residential coordinators to help coordinate meeting your student upon arrival, keeping you connected with the school community, and mediating issues if they arise. Families of all types, ethnicities, backgrounds and sizes are welcome.
To learn more about becoming a host family, please contact email@example.com (781-996-0429) or fill out an online application: http://www.gphomestay.com/Application.html.
